BionX Intelligent Bike kits convert ordinary bikes to electric-assist by replacing the rear wheel and adding a lightweight battery and handlebar mounted control console. Power output is adjustable and proportional, meaning that the power output of the rear hub-motor varies depending on the level of assistance selected and the amount of energy being exerted by the rider. The more energy the rider exerts, the more assistance the hub motor provides. Combines 8 possible levels of adjustment, ranging from strong resistance (for training and indoor fitness use) to strong assistance (for fast cruising and steep hill climbs) and advanced features like regenerative braking
